Art Camp 2025

Natural Wonders of the World

Join us for a journey as we visit the landscape, animals, architecture, people and techniques of each area during our 10 week Wonders tour. Each week will explore various subjects on the given theme with media like, acrylic paint on canvas, charcoal, ink, clay, watercolor and numerous forms of mixed media and 3 dimensional art. The process is at the essence of each project however we pride ourselves on framable/mantel worthy art throughout each camp.

Josie, Parker & Grayson are still talking about [art camp]. We are on the search for charcoal pencils and more art supplies. Thanks again, they have been inspired.

Commonly asked questions:

Q: Do we have to sign up for the full week?

A: Each camp day builds on the previous day so campers are strongly encouraged to attend the full week. If a child cannot attend camp for one or two days during the week those unattended camp days are non-refundable. Please notify the studio if your child will miss camp days so the curriculum can be planned accordingly.

Q: My child is not yet 5-years-old but I believe she/he is gifted in art, can they attend camp anyway?

A: The posted age requirement is 5-years-old but children turning 5 within a week of their camp enrollment are eligible to join. Please keep in mind that camp meets for 3 hours (with a short snack break). Most projects require children to be in their seats for the duration of the lesson.  An alternative to camp is Mommy & Me Class meeting Tuesday nights at 5 pm for ages 3 - 5 yrs.

Q: Can I sign my child up for more than one camp?

A: Yes, each week offers a new set of projects in various media. There are no repeated projects, so children can attend as many weeks as they like.

Q: What projects or themes are scheduled for each camp week?

A: Themes are not posted prior to camp week but our format is as follows; Children will complete at least one painting (acrylic on canvas), one multimedia project, and one 3-D piece (either clay vessel or multi-media sculpture) during the week. Additional projects (and free-sketch opportunities) in drawing and/or printmaking will be offered and may include; india ink, chalk pastels, charcoal, block or mono printing techniques. All lessons are related to art history or an art concept or technique.

Q: Who teaches the camps?

A: Jillian Mazur (owner, artist, and certified art teacher) creates the curriculum and will lead each camp week. Jillian has been offering art camps since 2012. She has over 13 years of teaching experience and a degree in art education pre-k - 12. On occasion, art camps will be attended by teaching assistants, student volunteers, and interns with an art and/or childcare background.

Q: Can I pay with cash or check?

A: Yes, we accept all forms of payment. Contact the studio to schedule a time to register in person and for mail-in registration information.
